many years ago and unfortunatly I did not inheret his programming genes
. Who in the business world today isn't a slave to the Office suite (got to admit I do like it)
. I had a little unix programming in college but I was never brave enough to switch. Of couse all my software is meant to run in Windows. Esselback FYI your little bye-line on Win98 was a factor in my little tyraid ;D!
....And windows Vista will have it's problems too

Please, don't get me wrong, it was a compliment to your dedication to the forum!
I've got 14- enough said.

but I wouldn't limit myself to Win98 they are all crappy!

Being just beta it's still really buggy but the interface is streamlined quite a bit and the graphics are very nice. It looks much different, many things are quite Mac-like in appearance.
"! Windows since 95 has looked nice but got more patches than the original Stars & Stripes :-/. What is Apple and those Unix/Linux fellas doing that the Microsoft Empire can't. Both of the former have been around for a while but I never hear those using other operating systems cursing about the stuff that Windows users have come to expect
. I've got 4 different brands of anti-everything software in an attempt to keep the internet Demons at bay. How many Windows users out there have had there system crash in the last 3 years
. Who am I kidding in two year or less I'm sure
, l'll be stuck in some Vista, trying stay on the ball field, waiting for a critical update to save my day
.

Even the relatively stable XP is insanely huge and complex.
It was all done a##-backwards. An O/S should be small and efficient...
. Windows shear size is what makes it so vunerable :-/. I think
of 'Critical Windows Updates' as a little guy running around a really big building with pieces of wood, hammer and nails trying to keep thieves out from behind almost every door (hey - a new video game concept
). The KISS
method (Keep It Simple Stupid) is a lost art at Microsoft.
Windows platform.
