Annunciator warning light Question

Postby wilderobb » Sun Jan 29, 2006 2:11 pm

On an annunciator I have, a light is abreaviated as CG. What does CG stand for? The Master Warning light on the panel stays on. ::) Thanks, Wildie.

Probably Centre of Gravity
It means that the CG is outside of the MAC (mean aerodynamic chord) boundary.

Try moving some cargo/fuel either more aft of forward to solve the problem  :)

yes, CG is center of gravity, and it does mean you have too much fuel, pax, cargo, or a combonation of these. distribue the wight in the weight management to where the CG icon is in the middle of the aircraft.

And the consequences of a misplaced CG is quite brutal, since it can (or it does) have dire effects on pitch control.

FORWARD (wrote aft earlier...typo  :-[) CG mean that the arm is too long, and LOTS of stickforce is required. Sometimes you wont even be able to get the aircraft off the ground

Center of Gravity... I would never had thought that!! Yes ,I did remove all the passingers. And I was having a hard time getting off the ground. I wonder if I replace the weight with fuel? I'll try that out or let the other people back on my plane.(It's an Antonv 224). :o  Thanks All. Wildie
