Are you in pause, I really don't know? What also can (sometings) lower frames is in perspective and look towards the clouds. Maybe update Graphics drivers?

Sounds to me as though you need a complete upgrade of your rig from the ground up congo..........tell you what, just pass me over your old one as it's obviously just junk (ahem) and you just start on over again

Try setting the force feedback to off in the menu and see if it works better.

Your system specs are OK, better than mine anyway! What AC, just some or all? Does this happen in all views or just one or two? ie, Cockpit, Spot, etc. Default scenery? How much AI traffic and weather? The list is endless.....

congo,

Wow..... it is amazing when you are stumped with your wealth of computer savy!   :o

Don;t know the long term solution..... but for the short term....... set the fuel to unlimited and stay in the air.   ;)

best,

........john

that's what i would reccomend, some sound cards or mobos don't fully support force feedback... then you get amazingly low fps :P

lets hope the new fs doesn't come with such problem so i can use MY force feedback again ::)

Hmm, I was hoping it was a known issue.

I can't remember doing any specific changes when I noticed it. I hadn't flown FS9 for a week or so and then the problem suddenly appeared.

It's like a bug, all I can think of is that the sound of the wheels rolling is causing the problem, it happens on all the planes I've tried.

I might go and try it with the sound off now......

nope, it's not the sound.

Tried the FFB setting and found it was enabled, (I still haven't bothered to fix my old FFB sidewinder, no problem, it is as if it's mothballed, It should work like new one day, just a broken power wire is all!).........

Anyway, that was it all right, I turned the FFB off and I was back to 60fps at Miegs default flight.

THANKYOU ALL !      :D

You know when I load a flight at my home "international" airport, KMDT, Harrisburg International, Harrisburg, PA I usually pick Large GA Parking Ramp 3 because MS has it wrong, that location in real life is at the south side of the new terminal where USAirways Dash-8's and CRJ/ERJ's are parked.  Also close to the cargo terminal in real life.  Anyway, my forward view is filled with terminal building and until I get taxing and airborne or pan left or right in view  it accounts for up to 10 FPS.  Just a thought that what's in view can effect things.  Oh, and while mentioning how MS has my airport layout all wrong would anyone know of any add-on that is designed to correct MS's mistakes on airport, ramp and taxi-way mapping??
