F-16 Falcon

Postby fscory » Sun Jan 15, 2006 10:35 pm

I would like some advice in downloading the best, easiest F-16.  I'm somewhat a novice but have downloaded 3-4 aircraft successfully.  As I have read the pages of aircraft, there are a number of Falcons.  Please help me pick one that flies well and is relatively easy to download and install.  many thanks

Kirk Olsson's F-16 is probably considered one of the best freeware F-16's available. It even comes with a VC ;)

Kirk Olsson's is the first one HERE.  Great aircraft, one of my favorites still. ;) :)

Kirk suggest's using Eric Marciano's freeware F-16 panel and provides a link to a 2002 panel download - is this compatable with 2004 ?

The only better F-16 I know of is the payware LAGO FS Falcon!

I would like to thank you all for your suggestions re: F-16 download.  I downloaded the f-16 by Olsson and the special panel by Marciano.  I even printed the directions, but I have a problem.  The screen with the main (not virtual) cockpit is black with a radar screen and light buttons.   The virtual cockpit is okay but not readable.  The outside views work well.  I have tried several times to incorporate the panel into the aircraft config.  No avail.  I know I'm doing something stupid, but I can't figure out what I've done wrong.  Thanks for your help,  fscory

Make sure the "VC Gauge Quality" box in the aircraft tab is set to high, otherwise the VC will be unusable.
