On-Screen Messages

Postby Mobius » Sat Jan 14, 2006 6:59 pm

I think it's been discussed before, but is there a way to get rid of the "simulation paused" and "replay" and other red meesages at the bottom of the screen, and also get rid of the green messages at the top of the screen, the ones you get when you open or close an exit.

Thanks :)

In the [sim] section of fs9.cfg add the following line

no_system_messages=1

Means that you can record with Fraps in replay mode and not get the annoying red replay message  ;)

BTW

Some users have reported crashing with this line added but works OK for me

Hi guys

LOL, I did a search yesterday for this very topic. I found the answer, but it doesn't work for me :-[

Here is the lines from FS9's config;
[SIM]
no_system_messages=1
SYSCLOCK=1

Is this in the correct place?
I was making a video and didn't want the messages, yet they are still there. When I close the stairs on the plane, the message shows on the upper screen and the red text at the bottom left is still there with it's normal Brakes, etc messages.

Any ideas of what I am doing wrong?

I don't know, it didn't work for me either. :P

I tried a couple of other things too, but I couldn't make it work, so I don't know. :)

That's interesting - looks as though the 9.1 update killed the original method. Glad the other one worked for you.
