Lancair Legacy Problem

Postby Jon H » Sat Jan 14, 2006 2:41 pm

I hae downloaded the Lancair Legacy 2000 and it works very well.

However, when using it on a "Limited" userspace in Windows XP some of the textures do not display properly.
The cockpit canopy and the spinner show as a highly reflexive silver, rather than their proper colours.
This does not occour when using it on the administrator's userspace.

Does anyone know what's wrong, and how I can rectify it?

I'd be very grateful if someone could help.

Since you are not logged in as the administrator, the system only allows you access to the areas the system administrator deems necessary. It also creates different settings for different users that in most cases are not changeable by the user.

If this is your computer just continue logging in as the administrator. If this is not your computer consider asking the system administrator to grant you local administrator access to the machine.

When the system is on a network, there is one account that allows the system to be set up and has unlimited access to all programs and settings, both in the computer and the network.

Local administrator access does the same thing except it for the computer only. When you are logged in that way you have full access to the entire computer, files and settings but my be prevented from accessing certian areas of the network.

Users (people other than administrators) have their access restricted according to their needs. When you are logged in as a user you cant get into other users documents, do not have access to certian folders on the hard drive, can not change certian settings, and may not be able to get to the internet.

I had this problem once with the Lancair, and I fixed it by going to: Settings>Display>Aircraft>Global Aircraft Quality. As mentioned earlier you may have to have administrator rights to be able to change the settings, not sure about that one...... ???

I'm glad I don't have to worry about user profiles.  My machine has one profile and one only and anyone who would use it uses it.  Typically only my wife but she don't live here anymore  ::)
