FS2k4 Patches

Hi Guys and Ladies,    A good evening to you all.   I at last [ with my Lil' wifes urging] sent for the FS2k4 Sim. I was wondering if the "patches" needed for the Sim would already be installed  - - - -  and if not - - -  - how would I find  them , also how would I know if I got them all ?  All help on this subject would be appreciated.      caveman

Hi  Webb, Thanks for directing me to some very interesting reading about  "those" patches.   I went through all 11  pages.  What a can of worms.   I understood everything that was written - - -  oh - - the sun does come up in the west - - don't it ?         A thought came to me that  JUST PERHAPS,   MS has  "SET US UP ". They can always say the next FS will be better than this one  ::)       caveman

I don't know if I'm correct but the current version on sale now might be FS9.1 & include the update.

That's a very good question Doug-almost every other game I know will ship with updated versions but who knows with MS.

Silly me. It would be easy enough to find out after installing FS9. Click Help/About from the FS9 menu bar. If it's FS9.1 the update is already installed & you don't need it.

If you have to download the update & install it separately I think it can be uninstalled from Add/Remove Programs if you don't like it.

not even a nessisary update  only thing i nticed with it was the new bridges the forgot.

Oops    sorry  - - -  touched the wrong key somewhere [fat fingers]  ;D        Thanks for the input. Just received the FS9 yesterday late evening.  Will find out today if it is a "version .1 "  I did get the patches  already in case they are needed.         caveman
