Sorry bart, that is -technically- illegal and SimV longer officially supports the use of the no-cd crack.

(not that I'm implying you don't have a legit copy of the game anymore or anything, it's just site policy)

A quick look (search*) would show you that discussing the "no-CD crack" is not encouraged on this forum. Either stick CD4 in the drive or look elsewhere...

*this was only discussed a day or two again. Maybe the site policy on the NO-CD crack should be stickied in bold Caps at the top of this forum and the other add-ons wanted forum...

The joy of having 2 cd drives. CD4 lives safely in the pc! ;D

I'm planning on getting an external CD-DVD drive for my laptop. That way, I can just leave CD4 [for FS9] or the DVD [for the upcoming FSX] in one drive and use the other for whatever.

I wouldn't worry much about it.

Someone will crack the FSX if it needs a stupid CD in the drive to run.

Just like FS9 and FS9.1 did get cracked.

Talking of safety, I have my lower CD drive reserved for Disc 4, the other one for everything else.  Also, so that my discs will never go walkies, I keep my FS2004 cd case, along with my motherboard, graphics card etc, driver cds in the pc case itself, at the bottom of the case underneath the hard drive cage.  No safer place.

I'm thinking of getting a third drive, (the two at the moment are both DVD-RW), this one a DVD-RAM drive.  My laptop has DVD-RAM, and I figured why not get my desktop inclujded in the party.

Cheers.

On my old PC I had one DVD, one CD-RW Drive, and used the CD-RW one to hold FS9. However, on my new one Ive put just one DVD-RW drive. Im thinking of putting a second before FSX.  :)
