There are... not really legal ways... to get the files you need, around. Ways no one on this forum is going to talk about out loud to avoid a ban. Or you can always petition M$ for a new disk, though you'll have to pay a sum for it (don't remember how much).

The choice, in the end, is yours... :P

Take it back to wherever you got it and tell them its defective. Any reputable retailer will exchange it.

I think MS will be happy to help you out.
You might have to wait a few days to receive a new disk, but in the long run it will be worth your efforts.
You never know when you might need to reinstall, so having a set of 'working' disk is a good idea.

Sending you the textures isn't legal because we have absolutely no way to verify that you bought a legitimate copy of the software. As I said before. Take the game back to the store where you bought it, if it was a gift, ask the person who gave it to you. Any store that I've ever heard of will exchange it for a new copy if it is defective. I also believe that , for a small fee, MS will send you a new disk.

As far as I'm concerned this discussion is over. Nobody here is going to illegally send you files that to a game that you may or may not own. MS will send you a new disk for a small fee.

Without going all the way down to Elite Marksman's hard nosed last reply, you have to understand that his reasons are sound.

The only legal way for you is to ask M$ for a new disk 4.

PS
You can always consider not legal ways, in the end it's only your call, but please don't ask us to stand by your side if you do.

It's been my experience that Microsoft are very helpful. They may even "walk you" around the install to extract the cab file. It's probably there, but may need you to have a different Java version. Good luck.
