Anyone try the iFly 747 yet? Opinions? What do you think of the FMC? I haven't done it yet, so I was looking for some opinions. Thanks!

There's but one real cure for human stupidity. It's called DEATH.

I wrote a quite long review about it here on simv...
If you have a couple of minutes to spare you can read it on this link:

Hop it helps you, although its free so the choice should be straightforward!  ;D ;)

If you download it, hope you have a monster AMD 64 or dual cored, hyper threaded P-4 and at least an nvidia 6800.  It's a nice model to look at, very complete flight deck, FMC included.  It's also one of the most system sucking freeware planes I ever tried.  Check my specs below.  No, mine may not be state of the art, but it ain't no slouch either and I can't get much better than 22FPS with all settings on minimal and using the 2D only cockpit.

Thanks everyone, I just didn't look back far enough in the forum. Well, based on what  I'm reading, its too much plane for my needs; I just  don't have the kind of time available that   it  would take to figure  out.

Not that I'm disbelieving you, I still don't know how that's possible...I've got MUCH less of a system than you, and I fly it fine.....

What are your system specs Hyperion?  Maybe there's an individual hardware component on mine that the ifly coding doesn't work well with.  Heck, maybe it's my grafic card settings.  I have all of them turned all the way down to performance level rather than quality but maybe that hurts me with some planes.  I don't know, I haven't given up on the ifly, I will keep tinkering with it until they start uploading updates and more refined versions or until I have enough in my entertainment budget for Qween of the Skies.
