Key press for Radio Stack/Flight controls...?

Postby Fozzer » Wed Dec 21, 2005 6:59 am

Hello, Lads... ;D...!

I'm probably missing the obvious....
...but...
Can anyone tell me the keyboard key-press to toggle the following on and off...

(1) The window containing the complete Radio Stack.
(2) The window containing all the Flight controls, eg, Throttles, Props, Mixtures, Condition levers, etc, etc.

This is to save fumbling with the mouse pointer to locate the "Panel Icons" on the instrument panel for the above...;)...!

I have searched the "Key assignments" menu and although the individual components are listed, I can't find a key-press for the complete set of controls/instruments... :'(...!

A quick dab on the keyboard is required...!

Many thanks... ;D...!

Bleedin' eck Fozz - a seasoned pro such as yourself asking that question??

Those keys tend to vary from plane to plane (with freeware) but it is usually:

(1) The window containing the complete Radio Stack. = Shift + 2

&

(2) The window containing all the Flight controls, eg, Throttles, Props, Mixtures, Condition levers, etc, etc. = Shift + 4 (Although this option is not available on your dear old 172)

Best way to find them is just run throught the number keys whilst holding down shift (before you start your flight)

Cheers mate,

Hi Paul. It would depend on the panel & how it's set up. The pop-up windows are toggled with Shift + 2, Shift + 3 & so on depending on the number of pop-ups on the specific panel. I believe the key command for the radio stack on the default B737 is Shift + 2 but don't know if this applies to all the default aircraft as I don't use the radio stack. It's easy enough to find out by trying the key commands.

Pull down the 'view' menu from the top and select insruments. There will be a list of the available windows, some AC have loads and some will just have the main panel. Remember or make a note of which one you want to access and note what possition it is on the list. ie,

Main panel
GPS
Radio stack
Overhead

The radio stack is the third one down so Shift+3 will bring it up each time.

You can also open up the panel.cfg up and see what order the pop up windows are in. if they're not in order,

Fosser,
Are you sure that it is seasonal, and not just general confusion of the old ;D
