Wind apeed & direction settings

Postby Robert_Bance » Wed Dec 14, 2005 3:07 am

Here is the situation. When I try to set wind speed and direction, I get an error message to be reported to M$.  This occurs as soon as I set the "Customize weather" key.. Any helping idea  where to look ?
Bob.

I am "in" Fs2002, but resetting wx seldom works unless I CLEAR ALL WEATHER first ...

DId you preform a full instsall of fs 2004? ???
You should be able to alter the wind or weather without any problems.
Make sure you have not removed any of the files for the weather or not added any new files or textures for clouds if so try removing them.
You could also try deleteing your fs9cfg file that might help but I am not sure.
The only other fix that I can think of would be to unistall and reinstall FS.
I know what a pain in the A%% that can be but it might be the only solution. 8)

You might want to try this: Go into "My documents" folder  and open up "flight simulator files" folder. In there are all previously saved flights and weather settings. Delete all files EXCEPT "UI generated Flight" and "UI generated WX". This will clear all previous flight plans and weather settings associated with them, leaving the MS originals intact. Now go back into FS2004 and see what happens.
Happy flying,
Bill
