Just remembered. I have a lot of money in the bank, and I don't have that many bills to pay [compared to some of you]. Sooooo, I can buy an large external hard drive devoted entirely to X-Plane.

No, i will be the best "geographical Sim" out there, since FS still cant model correct aerodynamics, which X-plane does so splendid.

I purchased the registered version of this program a few months ago, and I am delighted with it.... ...!
Obviously the graphics are not on a par with Microsofts flight sims, but....the "feeling" of flying in these aeroplanes has to be experienced...!!!
For anyone who has flown a light aircraft and remembered the "floating" effect whilst in the air, will certainly feel at-home with this delightful little program... ...!
It has vastly improved over the years since it first came out, (now Version 5), and is highly recommended for the times when you feel like trying something a little different from FS '98/2000/2002/2004, etc..... ...!

I could eat the fish, sell the dog to the local Korean Take Away, Kids and wife to the white slave trade, sell the house, move back in with my parents. Then buy the complete catalogue of GoFlight and still have enough to build a 5.7L AC Cobra kit car. The only problem I see are:
1. Parents don't welcome me back with open arms.
2. The law catches up with me.
Apart from that the plan is faultless.

Last time I tried X-plane it was horrible. Those graphics look great but man I thought the aircraft flew really poorly. Every single one of em felt like a brick. I can't speak for heavy aircraft but I can for smaller ones and MSFS does a far better job at flight dynamics than x-plane did in that area. Alas there still is a lot of improvement needed in msfs dynamics.

Actually, I believe that the dynamics of the aircraft in X-Plane are very impressive. It's the scenery in v8.0 that needs work [thus I bought v8.2 for expanding v8.0].

In FS, the dynamics are based on numbers while X-Plane's dynamics are based on cross sections and type of materials involved. That's why X-Plane is very close to being FAA certified compared to FS. If I can recall, Spaceship 1 was modeled and tested in X-Plane to see how it can behiave.

And 77$ for 8.21 and the world scenery seems fair enough.

Well the logical answer would be for Big Bad Bill to buy out X-Plane, combine the two..............And world domination of flight Sims as in the windows (lower case to reflect my respect) products. Thinking about it that is not such a good idea. The end product would be so unstable and buggy, that you would be lucky to taxi as far as hold short.

If ever BBB buys something that is in direct contrast to one of his softwares and his dreams of world domination is to declare it dead, cremated and its ashes dispersed to the winds.

It's happened already. Those with good memory will remember.

Lets not forget you do not have to install all sixty gigs just install where you fly.

X-Plane has the best flight dynamics bar none.

X-Plane is approved by the FAA as a IFR Sim.

I will buy each version of FS and X-Plane. I use them both for diffrent things. FS is more user friendly and has a bigger user base hence more add-ons. X-plane makes a better training simulator than FS. Give and take. To me they are both worth the money.

Yeah, last time I flew X plane was 7.0 I belive. I would be willing to give Xplane  a try if it had a bigger community. Its just not as fun without a community.
