Hi Flightmedic

I have had no problems with the update, however as with all MS products that is no glowing recommendation ;D ;D

2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.

Hi flightmedic,

Check the version number with the 'properties' tag on your fs9.exe file - FS9 CDs from about a year ago were 9.1 out of the box; mine was.

No problems here. Like you I too heard of less lucky people that had some difficulties, but in my case the update went smooth and did only great things to my sim.

It works fine  ::)

Just make sure you run the exe from inside the FS9 Root folder, not outside!  ;)

It works just fine but you are best to do it on a fresh installation of Fs9. When the update first came out many had problems but most of those were traced to modified installations of the sim.

What I did before patching my sim was to wait until I built my new computer then the update was the first thing I installed after installing the sim on the new computer. It wasn't until after I had the sim and update installed that I added all my paware and freeware add ons. Haven't had a problem at all since then.

Only thing I would like to add as my "ha'porth" is that according to MSoft, one MUST uninstall the added 9.1 update before uninstalling FS9,,,should you ever need to do that awful thing ...............commoner ;D

Only issue I've had with it was my FSUIPC, but you know if you are using a dated FSUIPC in FS9 the likely hood that the update will be the only major issue for you is pretty slim. I went ahead and payed the 20 for the newest version and my catapult launch and tailhook are back to there good old bone jarring selves.

I uninstalled it minutes afterr installing it. It causes problems with FSUIPC, hence the PMDG aircraft.. then this... then that...
I dont think its worth it for a few extra bridges..  ::) ;)
