Have you tried Orik's environment water reflections available right here!

It does not change the water textures, only the reflections and it is real nice!  8)

Try turning clouds off then you will probably get a reflection, the clouds tend to stop the reflection on the water.

In settings: Display if you turn off the water texture option those reflections go away. I had to that when I loaded a file called dynamic water textures. It was really annoying especially when trying to do a noon carrier landing.
