There should have been a Spit or a Hurricane in fs2004 as they were huge factors in aviation within the last century. This time round i think they need to go with more well modeled modern aircraft as the defaults.

P.S. There probably is a better spot in the forum for this thread ;)

Another to add to the FS2006 list!

And I've only just realised. Why the hell is this in the Screenshot Contest forum?!

you know what?

MS makes bad default planes, so just 4-5 default planes, and then all the developers we have makes the good planes!

(and also this poll belong in the FS2006 section, but its not here, so post it in FS2004 section!)

...I agree with Alphajet..none of those.......FS is really for civil aircraft as far as I am concerned..........CFS is the place for Spitfires and Hurricanes.........NO shootemup stuff in FS2006 PLEASE!....commoner ::) :o

I agree to both of you :).

I would like some well designed Airbus aircraft in FS2006 (A320/A330/A340).  That way people can fly a "real" aircraft :P

And what about taking the oppurtunity to include a Concorde? IMHO it was a glaring omittion from FS9.

Well it isn't a combat flight simulator. It's a "flight" simulator. That doesn't emit military aircraft...as far as I'm concerned, that shouldn't emit anything that flies (of course, within reason...this isn't a bird simulator :P). I do enjoy flying civilian aircraft, but for me, if there were no military addons, FS would not be half as appealing to me, as with a lot of other users.

I agree with tweak.
I don't "get on" with combat flight sims but I get great pleasure in successfully taking off and landing a Tomcat on a carrier. I wouldn't want to be denied the fast jets although I sure don't want to  go around shooting anything. Oh, and some older military types look and sound great too!

.....We are all entitled to our opinions and I want to keep my FS separate from my CFS...after all what good is a "toothless" Tomcat or a Spitfire with no Brownings? which is all that  FS9  gives you......Just how I see it that's all.....commoner ;D ;D

My point exactly. Plus, how the hell are you supposed to fly a C-130 in a combat flight sim? ;)

Commoner.

For me it's all about the flying, not the shooting.

There are still a few Spitfires flying that have their brownings silenced. Alright if I fly one of those? ;)

Can't wait for Ozzy to comment! ;D

It could come with no aircraft for all I care, I'm never going to use those default planes anyway. The closest I have come to using a default plane regularly is the RealAir 172. Don't get me wrong, some of the FS9 defaults are pretty good, I rather like the Cub and the DC-3. But there is so much freeware out there that you might as well download what you really want to fly provided of course that FS10 is backward compatible, because there won't be any downloads in the beginning.
