Can I 'tweak' Lennart's textues?

Okay all,
once I have Lennart's textures installed, you can only have them allocated to North Europe, south Europe, USA, or 'MyOwnMix.'

I was thinking, is there a way that I can apply Lennart's textures to the entire world? i was thinking that if I copied and pasted Lennart's textures into the main texture folder?
Or is there another way?

True, but I found Silverwings was a bit too '1930's'.

I actually did that :)

The readme was way too complex for me  ;D So I took all the textures and dropped them into the scenery\world\texture directory.

It worked fine, very fine, excepted that the textures have been applied to all the regions of the world, and not only Europe.

I did exactely the same with all the other textures packages that I downloaded -> alaskan terrain textures and U.S. mid-east textures, all dropped in the same directory.

.......I tried your idea and must admit it was much nicer flying across the Sahara Desert......see comparison pic....Default and Lennarts, spread around the whole world.............think I'll give that a miss..........commoner

Lol funny indeed, I did not notice that.
That's a shame MS haven't made specific textures for deserts. Well, I'll stay like that, I don't want to reinstall and I never go in Africa anyway...

...........in case you are not.......the bottom is MS default for the Sahara desert and the top is the same spot with Lennarts textures if you drop all Lennarts texture packs into the scenery/world/texture/folder............not what Lennard intended to be sure..........commoner

Don't worry commoner, I'm not taking the p**s, but your comment of "you can even make grass grow in the desert" made me think which was which.

I was thinking - If I found the default desert texture(s), remove it from the main texture file, drop all of Lennart's textures into the main texture file, and then put the desert texture(s) back into the folder and when prompted to overwrite say 'yes' would that work?

..Yes anything is possible..........just make sure you back up anything you need to........

..........I remember last year messing around with the summer textures to make the bright yellow fields of Oilseed Rape show up...that was fun too..........
