I almost forgot. A long time ago, I figured out how to convert some of CFS2's ships into 'flyable' models in FS2002. I thought about taking them acrossed the oceans, but never got around to it

Best to count that in days or maybe weeks. Somewhere around two weeks running the sim 24/7 and once I put it on 8X accel to get to Australia before I had to go to bed that night.

Works great except in places the FS water is glitchy and you jump up 1,000 ft. Seems to be nearby add on sceneries however so it may be a discontinuation in surface areas.

Another problem is the ships being aircraft with limited lift, if you run low on fuel you loose enough weight to actually fly. Hama's Mega Yacht has a payload area that fixes this. QM2 I just edited the .cfg to add a little weight.

More info on my trip and mods on the ships is at FS Shipyards. Look for the topic "Long Voyages".

The longest flight I've done was a Hong-Kong to London in the 747 from POSKY. That was the most boring thing I've ever done, and the most frustrating- try landing that thing on the deck at Semipalatinsk.

Only with the simulation rate at 128X.

The longest flight I have ever flown was about 2hr 30 mins.I was flying the meljet Air France 777-300ER from Beijing Capital Intl To Hong Kong Intl(VHHH).What's the point in flying 10 to 20 hours. It's not like when You Land And taxi to the ramp, there will Be ground animation like catering truck, wing walker etc to greet you after a long flight.I think FS 2006 should have ground animation once and for all. Then I would probably fly long hours. :)

I think my longest flight  (so far) is Heathrow to JFK in a BA 747-400. Took 7 ish hours. I am now attempting Kuala Lumpor to Toronto, which should be far more

Or, Stockholm

Kuala Lumpur - Arlanda - Pearson Intl.

Malaysia actually stops at ESSA for some of their long haul routes.

I just completed a 23-hour trip (16x simulation speed a lot of the way!) in a Meljet 777-200LR. Didn't know the actual route flown a couple of weeks ago during the record breaking run, but my Worldliner 002 went from Hong Kong via the Himalayas to Karachi, to Qatar to Cairo to Milan to London. This was only 7500 miles(!) so I carried on to Boeing Field near Seattle, where ATC wouldn't let me land because it was IFR only! Just under 20% fuel remaining

As it was very foggy, I used my new autoland gauge to get me down safely.

For the Kuala Lumpur- Toronto flight, you all talk about European stopovers. I am doing this Pacific style. Possible stopover in  Seattle or might jump up to Tokyo first I'll see how it goes. Maybe Ancorage also

Heathrow to JFK for me. Took off, put it on auto pilot, left it to do it's thing before crashing at the other end. Ripper. ;D

Did that in the SR-71 Blackbird, handflying VFR with GPS at night. Took an hour and a half, including dropping to subsonic over the US coast. That said, the bird was hitting Mach 4-4.5 at high alt over the ocean ;D
