Air Racing in a New Way

Postby Travis » Thu Nov 03, 2005 4:11 pm

Hey, everybody!  This is a general call to all software developers and anyone that knows anything about creating aircraft, scenery, other addons or web page design.

I am looking for some folks to help create a web page for a new type of air racing.

There are several air racing sites out there, mostly focused on the Reno Air Races (pole racing), but FS is capable of so much more.

For one, there is the ability to fly low and fast through any major city (no WTC references, please!) or make up some incredible scenery to fly through.

No need to be flying repeatedly through barns, etc!  I want to create very involved routes that test the mettle of anyone wanting to fly them.

I already have a few thoughts on the subject, so if you want to help out, PM me or email me at:

Locke_Piotr@yahoo.com

Any and all help would be appreciated!

And if any of you mods think this should be somewhere else, feel free to move it around! ;D

Good Flying!

This is what I'd like FS to be like.. Spot on!! :D

This would seriously be the sweetest addon(s) ever!!! It would be so cool racing through some nice scenery, 20 feet off the ground, doing knife-edge passes in an Edge 540 or an SU-31, competing with others in MP sessions.. *Drool*.. :D :D :D

I'm sorry to say, but I know jack about creating scenery and such, so I can't be of much help.. :-[

It wouldn't be necessary for anyone to be proficient in creating scenery, etc.  I can handle most of that stuff.  What I really need is someone to help me do the web stuff.

Actually, I originally got the idea from chasing some people around in a fighter through the close confines of New York City.  No one here, but it did give me a rush.

You are an F-15. Your record in combat is spotless; you've never been defeated. You possess good looks, but are not flashy about it. You prefer to let your reputation do the talking
