Could something be coming?

Postby Jakemaster » Sun Oct 30, 2005 9:11 am

Well, if you haven't seen, ms has redone the flight sim insider site.  The reason why I am bringing this up is first of all, they are about to release a tweaked 777 to simulate the 200ER.  But, the real reason is that in the past, the only time that ms changed the fs website was when they were preparing to release the next version.  Could this be the early signs that an fs2006 is coming soon?  I think so, but how about you?

Thanks for the headsup, Jake I don't normally reply to airware announcements but the 777 has a ring-of-truth to it. Your signature pretty much sums up my reponse to this announcement: Does the new triple7 come with radials?

I don't understand what you mean by 'airware'.  The 77-200ER is a beautiful plane in real life.  I think that all ms did was change the flight model and give it that amazing paint job.  I guess you could say that it has radials, they are round  ;)

Well it does seem an odd coincidence but I wouldn't read anything into it just yet ;)

I don't mean like within a month.  I would expect it around june or july of 06.  And, I wouldnt be suprised if they had a 787 as default.

Where's the smiley for YAAAAWWWWNN

Surely everyone must be getting tired of all this juvenile speculation about FS2006

If someone has some real info - which they won't have because anyone actually involved with MS would be fired if they published anything without official permission (even the 'unofficial' Blogs by employees are sanctioned) - then post it. Otherwise, what's the purpose of this stuff?

Can't we have a 'Rumours About The Next Version' forum which could go right down to bottom of the SimV forum then anyone interested could go look and all we others needn't bother.

Anyway, why is this in the FS2004 forum - it has NOTHING to do with FS2004

>:(

BTW - I'm feeling generally ratty today - so don't upset me  :o

How about THIS speculation: maybe there won't BE a 2k6! :o

Would that upset anyone here? ;D ::)

Seriously, I don't care if they release FS2006 at all.  I could do just fine with 2k4 for a couple of years.  After all, the only tweeks I really want are a way to make VTOLs work right, and random AI.  The first would require a complete rewrite of the FS platform (sort of) and the second is simply a matter of making the AI system randomly select a few aircraft based on a couple of extra entries in the Aircraft file of each kite.

I got a plane thats both a plane and Helo.
ITs possible with the current engine:
Well i cant find it. Its a german Design from WorldWar II. It is a tail sitter with HelicoperBlades propelled by ram jets.

Actually, what you've got is an aircraft that MIMICS the effect of having those two types of engines.

Nope.
Its the Flight Dynamics of a plane. Rotate the veiw 90 degress forward when under 40knots forward then  its a helicopter. When Above 40knots the veiw rotates up then it flys like a plane again. I'll search it some more
