Real like taxi feel, here's how to!

For those who don't want to read all the posts, here's the cliff notes:

FS9 sets the ground friction to .5 which needs considerable power to get it rolling.

Aeronautical engineers have shown the real world friction is .25 value.

So with this modified file, taxi is more realstic and the tires bite into the ground like they do in real life. Less skidding and much easier to control the aircraft taxi speed with a turbine engine now.

As a 767 in real world should start taxi under idle power, this allows it to!

And taxing with the 747, it gets rolling easier but still has that unique heavy feel to it.

And the Cessna 172 taxi almost real like too!

It can be downloaded from:
http://www.henk-jan.com/sim1_dll.zip

UPDATE: The link above appears not to be working, the new link is:
http://82.176.145.29/files/sim1.zip

Directions to install:
Unzip the sim1.zip file

Go to the modules folder in your FS9 dictionary

move the default sim1.dll file to a safe location for backup purposes (not in the FS9 dictonary, somewhere safe such as in 'my documents')

copy the new sim1.dll file from the downloaded file into the modules folder

Now go and taxi your plane for takeoff!

Makes even the most stubborn floatplane takeoff... only crosswind will be even scarier

I gotta try that with the default C208 with floats in crosswind takeoff  :o

1. Captain, if the problem is not entered into the technical logbook.........then the aircraft does not have a problem.
2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.
