If you don't want to pause the sim and bring the map up, there's another easy method using the Garmin GPS - just press the left-hand-most button on the GPS unit marked 'nrst' and this will bring up the nearest airports, intersections, VORs and NDBs in turn, using the inner arrow buttons around the control knob at bottom right. When you get to the VORs page, the display shows you what the frequency is.

Or use a program called FSBrowser to view Sectional charts while flying ;)

That's what I do instead of using a GPS ;)

I've got every sectional and terminal chart for the US in JPG format that I navigate with using FSBrowser 8)

....And because it's a real chart, it has frequencies next to navaids :D
