Panel views

Postby stevewilson » Thu Sep 29, 2005 5:23 pm

Hi All,

I used to know this but for the life of me I can't seem to remember what to edit.

When in 2d view, hitting the "W" key will bring up a basic set of gauges only. I would like to edit what gauges are displyed, but can't seem to remember where they are located. I've looked in the panel.cfg, aircraft.cfg and fs9.cfg files, but can't seem to find what I'm looking for.

Can someone please point me in the right direction.

Thanks in advance.
Steve

One word ought to bring it all back to you: MINIPANEL (it's in the Panel.cfg file)

Thanks Cal,

However there was no mini panel in my cessna 182rg panel folder, but yet I still had it when I selected it with the "W" key. But I did find it in one of the other cessnas Something strange going on with that.

Now to edit it and see if I can get the gauge that I want.

Thanks again Cal

If a specific aircraft has no minipanel section it's panel.cfg the default minipanel is used, located in....

....\aircraft\default\panel\panel.cfg

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.
