Ok, back to the file size topic. Please can you check a file and tell me if that's a cheat or not!  >:(

In page 95 of Civil aircrafts there's a DC-10 separated in 3 parts. The first part says Aircraft but I downloaded the file there was not any MDL file inside, when I took a look on the readme file it said to download a DC-10 (not included in 3 parts but from third party download) and suggests you download the DC-10 made by Dale Britton.

With my nerves to the limit I took a deep breath and searched for Britton's DC10 and guess what? The only download available was in a site which you have to pay to download the aircraft!!!  >:( >:(

If you want my opinion, files like this one are ruinning this site :-/ which I consider it like one of the best available on the net.

Providing it's not a huge file I'll check this out for you. Remember I'm on dial-up too. ;)

Right. I downloaded the first file (D10dLSga.zip) to check it out. As I suspected this is a repaint & not a complete aircraft. This is what it says in the instructions:
3.)If you haven't yet downloaded an SGA DC-10-30 Aircraft do so now,

By typing SGA DC-10-30 in the Simviation Site Search feature (link on the menu bar at the top of this page) I found this. FS2004 SGA DC10 Series 30 Base Pack
Without trying it I assume this is what the repaint is for. It might be an idea to put a link to it on the download page for the repaints & Pete might do that if somone suggests it. I also found from a quick search on Google that SGA has its own website but this seems to be having problems & is temporarily offline.

This seems a tad complicated for a beginner & to avoid more frustration might I suggest you try a few more complete aircraft first.

PS. In case you're wondering, I haven't been officially connected with Simviation for a long time & now simply an ordinary member of this forum trying to help out when I can.
