Postby ibhayirob » Sun Sep 25, 2005 1:42 am

hi experts - lets hope this is an easy one

just when i thought i was in flight heaven - im new to 2004 - it started shutting down the instant i hit open

ok - trouble shoot - reset defaults got it back with all my add on planes but old scenery

its all listed and checked in the scenery library - but wont appear - even after deleting from library and reinstalling

is there a simple answer to this

on my knees

Rob. You don't say which scenery this is but from your description it's an update of some sort to the default scenery. My only suggestion without knowing more details is that some scenery will not display at lower complexity settings. This could well explain it. If not, tell us the file name of the scenery & the exact page it's posted on so someone can check it out for you.

sometimes there is.

what you do is:

>start FS
>Go to settings
>go to Scenery library
>make sure Addon Scenery is up on the top 10 priority
> click add area, and search for the scenery your trying to add.

hope this helps!

Hi Rob.....just a thought...when you went for the defaults did the Default scenery area move up to the top the list in the scenery library..or maybe ABOVE the areas you want to show? Mine lives next to bottom just above Default terrain but below everything else....check it out.

.....also when you select your Lake District in the Scenery Library and then click Add Area, do you get a message saying The Path already exists?.....if not then remake the paths.......I mean a message like this pic.........

..Just a couple of suggestions..otherwise don't know....

....good luck....commoner ;)

Ok - I checked that - my lake district is no one on  the library list - and default at the bottom - and yes I tried to add it again and got told it exists - maybe I must try uninstalling my add on manager - but then I could loose everything
