Wizzard Software Gains Altitude as R.C Simulations Adds AT&T Natural Voices TTS to Microsoft Flight Simulator Game

PITTSBURGH--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 21, 2005--Wizzard Software (OTCBB:WIZD - News) announced today that R.C Simulations has chosen the desktop version of AT&T Natural Voices for VoxATC, an interactive air traffic control speech add-on created for the award-winning Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004. R.C Simulations specializes in simulation software and other simulation products. They are based out of the United Kingdom.

Microsoft Flight Simulator: A Century of Flight takes players through aviation history by allowing them to pilot some of the world's most famous aircrafts around the world. Realistic scenery, visual effects and weather conditions add to the experience. VoxATC is an add-on feature for the Microsoft Flight Simulator for PCs. Using AT&T's Natural Voices speech engine, VoxATC adds a clear, natural-sounding voice to air traffic control (ATC) features, allowing players to hear traffic reports in airports all around the world, altitude changes en route, pop-up IFR clearances, and precision and non-precision approaches to multiple runways. These enhanced features provide flight simulator enthusiasts and pilots wishing to practice real time procedures with a more realistic air traffic control experience, allowing them to feel a true sense of involvement with the simulated world of flying.

"Vox ATC is a revolutionary product that becomes even better thanks to AT&T Natural Voices TTS technology and Wizzard Software," said Bob Sidwick, owner of R.C Simulations.

According to a recent study conducted by Frost & Sullivan, the simulator market is expected to grow at a compound annual rate of 3.5 percent between now and 2008, accounting for $4.78 billion in revenues. Computer games are also a huge global market, with PC game sales in the United States reaching $771 million in 2004, according to a report from Price Waterhouse Cooper. Further, global PC games sales reached $1.1 billion in 2004. According to the NPD Group, total software sales set new records last year, with sales exceeding $6.2 billion, an increase of 8 percent in overall sales.

Flight simulator use goes beyond gaming. An extensive Navy study on the training value of flight simulators found that students who use micro-simulation products during early flight training tend to have higher scores than students who do not use the software, reporting that 54 percent more of these students received above-average flight scores.

"R.C Simulations is taking flight simulators to the next level by adding natural sounding text-to-speech capabilities, and we are happy to assist them with that," said Danielle Lewis, Marketing Director for Wizzard Software. "We believe realistic sounding text-to-speech is a necessary component for adding realism to gaming and training environments."
