Video shoots

How would I be able to shoot videos in FS9? I know the imbedded software that allows you to record flights but is there any other program that I could use that would fully film what is on teh screen?

You could try FRAPS, which gets the job done, but is a real framerate killer, so it's not best suited to Flight Sim. I've heard of other FPS friendly programs, which others may pick up on :)

Actually the new version of fraps isnt so bad on frames, its actually pretty smooth.  I use a really slow computer!  But anyways, unfortunately in order to get that water mark off, its like $30 to register, something I couldnt afford to invest on  :(

Go to this site:

http://www.planetgamecam.com/index.php?locid=download

Just scroll down and read on. This program needs to be registered ONLY if you wish to reap the full benefits of Game Cam.

In its unregistered state, Game Cam can:

1. Record in BMP and JPEG format.
2. Record in AVI video format.
3. Record for an UNlimited time.
4. Adjust screen resolution to a maximum of about 800x600.
5. And a few more helpfull tools.

In it registered state, it can then:

1. Allow you to adjust screen aspect ratio to 16:9 format
2. And a dozen more things I can't remember, but read the website for more info.

It's also FPS friendly [very]. I recorded a video at 800x600 [for Game Cam] while FS9 was set at its maximum screen resolution that my card can allow and it still runs smoothly. Incredibily, there was never a slide-show effect. It's pretty cool.

Someone else, here in SimV, pointed this out. But I can't recall the name.

Ok, thanks guys! One other question: if I do manage to make a video, where can I upload it so I can show it?

Again, thank you for answering!
