GPS - ILS question

Postby z1010 » Sun Sep 11, 2005 1:37 pm

Currently I am at ENHV (norway). Short strip, rw 8 - 26. When I zoom the GPS in to 10 nm I see the yellow ILS line: it brings me to course 19 or 20
There is no rw 19/20: only 8 - 26.
Impossible to land if you follow the ILS line: it makes an angle of allomost 70 degrees with rw 26.

I must be doing something wrong or miss something - someone knows what I miss?

Just curious ....

Thats not an ILS thats a LOC/DME it has been established to guide you  on a proper course down to minimums and you sight the airport at which point you enter a traffic pattern for the runway you want to land on
Future pilot...so you can scream to god, he cant hear you
