in the aircraft directory in fs9 there is a folder called md_83 which plane is this

It's an AI plane.

Yes, but the flights dynamics are extremly poor!

You have to download AirEd, and then edit the .air file

Nah, if you want a MD83 download the SGA's. It's very well done.
