Im always lost, due to my poor english, let me get it strait anyway; ebay are saling planes or add-on, that are freeware available here in simv os avsim? :o :oplease I presiate Y/N only

Alrot, what is being said here is just about that. Not ebay, but sellers on ebay are selling software freeware people made and gave to the Flight Simulator World for free. So some of these freeware files are on Avsim and Simviation and some that are being sold were created by some of the very members here.  :-/

Hi Sparky,

Well it wasn't me, I wouldn't know how to if I wanted to  :D

I wouldn't have thought it was anybody here at SimV & I would be very embarrased if it was. We have all at one time or another got into a bit of an argument with someone, but I have never heard of viruses being sent.

hopefully you will stick around, this really is one of the friendliest forums on the web & any arguments are soon forgotten.

Stick around for a while, I'm sure you'll change your mind about leaving.

So it isn't the Ebay enterprise not responsible for that independent people are doing this,i get it,
  Thanks Saitek

Ay, ebay is not an online shop. It is a huge auction room with millions of sellers. A bit like a car boot sale - (if you use that term it is simply a weekend sale at a designated place where people sell items).
Ebay though fight fraud and they will remove items and sellers, such as the one here. However, it is a bog job and it is very easy for the seller to set up another account.

I managed to set up an account with Ebay using my hotmail addy. Yes, it finally works. I have already sent them an e-mail regarding the recent item in question.

If your email adress is hidden only the mods and the admin can see it. They never give it or use it out. No one else onthe site can see it or get hold of it.

I understand that and that is what worries me the most.  Also, only the administrators could be turning my e-mail notification back on.  How well do you know these folks?  Are you absolutely certain they aren't the ones causing me the grief?  As far as that is concerned are you sure they aren't the ones doing the selling on eBay?

EDIT:  I also just tried changing my photo to "none" and it won't allow me to do that.

EDIT # 2:  OK, I see the picture went away.  Tell you what guys. I am going to try one more time to turn off notification.  I would really like to remain a member but I need to take a hiatus for a while.  Cant do that if I keep getting e-mails. So if you never hear from me again it means I kept getting notices and decided to pull the plug.

Sparky, stick around a little longer and you'll understand on your own perspective that the mods and admin, however wierd and powerful they may be, would never go that far.

Don't believe me? Fine. Then don't.

afi0yz;

Katahu's Enzo was realeased in August, From whats been said on this topic it looks like ebay is looking into it.

and 310 Sparky,
I've been on here now for a while and you can trust the mod's my e-mail is shown for people to see and i haven't had any problems with e-mail notices being turned on,
And i'm 110% sure that it isn't a mod doing the selling on ebay,

Sparky,

One would hopefully think that a general SimV member would not actually DO that to you...and I have never heard of it happening before here.  And this particular discussion is nowhere as "heated" as some have been over the years before thay got "locked".

Doing that as bad as the whole piracy thing.

You likely won't believe it, but I am sorry to hear that you have a virus.  I've been there a couple of times............... they are NOT fun at all.  :P

As to any of the mods doing such a thing....... the fact that you suggested it in the first place means that I guess nothing I could say will likely convince you that it wouldn't happen.

Good luck getting it straightened out.

best,

......................john

I was under the impression that to get a virus by email, you would at least have to open an attachment.  Check your inbox Sparky. You can see who has sent anything "odd". Or am I out of touch with advancement in virus techniques?

Matt

As for the e-mail replies, checking the box will GET you a reply, not keep you from getting one.  If you look at the highlighted area in the picture below, it says "if you WISH TO be notified of replies...'  Gotta read those things man...  ;D

When I said "check"  your inbox, I ment check as in check out, look, examine etc.
And Rollerball, I think you have said what myself and no doubt a few others are beginning to think.  Sorry Sparky, but you have been negitive in this forum since your first post.  I think fsplanet would be more your thing. They are certainly not so "fussy" about freeware as us.
