Flight video trouble....

Postby cspyro21 » Wed Aug 31, 2005 11:34 am

I've tried this many times. Recording the video is easy, playing it in FS2004 is easy, but playing them in windows media player 10 and windows movie maker......it never works.
Anyone know wha to do  ???

Hey Spyro,
Sorry to tell ya, you cannot play the videos you make in FS9 outside of the FS9 player. You need to use FRAPS or a similar software to make a recording of what's going on on your screen. A bit like a moving screenshot thingy. FRAPS is payware but it's well worth it if you want some movies. To edit the movies, you can use the Windowe Movie Maker included with Windows XP...
Hope this helps!!

You can always try the limited freeware version of Fraps, at www.fraps.com

a follow up to that question:

Is there anyway to disable (during playback) the words on the bottom of the screen saying "playback" or whatever it says, also a way to disable the view (tower, spot, chase, etc) wording off? I was gonna start work on a movie but don't want to see that displayed during the movie.

Hi there  8)

I found a small utility that can remove almost all messages.
You can go grab it in the downloads section on my webpage.
