Regards,

Ashar. Tell me exactly where you downloaded this file so I can check it out for you. I need the file name & the exact page it's posted on, not a direct link to the file.
PS. I just downloaded the DC-8-52 here http://81.208.92.5/hjg/fake/airlines/twa.htm
Panel.cfg is aliased to one of the generic panels in the Flight Simulator 9\Aircraft\fsfsconv folder. Check the FS9\Aircraft folder & look for a folder named fsfsconv. It's possible you deleted it. If it's not there re-alias Panel.cfg to the default b747_400. I haven't installed it but that should fix the problem.

Post the name of your .air file and copy the [fltsim] sections of the aircraft.cfg here - that'll give us a start.

There is a folder in my aircraft folder called fsfsconv. However, when I got the panel for the DC-8 from the historic jetliners group, the instructions stated that when you un-zip the panel folder you should end up with the files inside the fsfsconv folder. I checked and it turns out it isn't there. So I installed the panel manually, meaning that I copied the files in the panel folder to the aircraft's panel folder...
Thanks,
Ashar

Does that mean you fixed the problem? Please take my tip & ignore all advice/instructions to unzip files direct to the sim. This is one of the most common causes of installation problems as you found out.
