Helo pads on oil rigs

Postby gooneybird » Tue Aug 30, 2005 1:02 pm

I've purchased the Abacus add-on Whirlybirds and it works great with my FS9. I love all the copters it came with as well as the scenery, especially the oil rigs in the Gulf and near London. However, how could I go about making these helo pads starting points rather than way points? In other words, when I start up FS9 I'd like to be able to select one of these rigs as my starting point rather than a destination. Can someone tell me how to do this? ??? TIA

Well, assumeing that you mean that these waypoints are part of a flight plan that was included with the software. Open the flight plane in "Flight Planner" & record all the ID's of the waypoints in the flight plan.

The way I'd do it would be to fly out to the platform, shut down the chopper and then save the game there.
