Heya Folks,

There is a file available called FS2004 Async Strobes by Scott Gridley [asyncstr.zip].  This effect has been modified to make the strobes flash more randomly than the default FS2004 strobe lights.  I did a search but couldn't find it here at SimV, however, you can get it at Flightsim or Avsim.
Happy Flying -- And may your main wheels always touch down first!

That does not work...it places landing lights floating between the fuselage and the engines :( :(

Sorry, I am usully great at molding aircraft spec's into anything I want, but I guess I really sucked this time.

I don't what to do. I really like the aircraft. Should I change all the light effects one by one and do it by trial and error? I think that would take too long.... :-/ :( :(

Hi Woozy.

Sorry - I use the FlightCraft and AeroDesigns A340s in preference to the POSky - but I have got their A330-300, and this is what the lights section looks like:

[lights]

//Types: 1=beacon, 2=strobe, 3=navigation, 4=cockpit, 5=landing

light.1  = 1,    7.800,   0.000,  -5.500, fx_beaconb , //RED FUSELAGE BOTTOM FLASHING BEACON
light.2  = 1,    0.200,   0.000,  14.500, fx_beaconh , //TOP FLASHING BEACON
light.3  = 4,   82.500,   0.000,   8.000, fx_vclight ,
light.4  = 2,  -40.200, -93.100,  13.380, Opensky_airbus_strobe ,  //PORT WING WHITE STROBE
light.5  = 2,  -40.200,  93.100,  13.380, Opensky_airbus_strobe ,  //STARBOARD WING WHITE STROBE
light.6  = 5,   18.000,  27.000,  -4.000, Opensky_wing_light,
light.7  = 5,   19.933,   8.827,  -4.368, Opensky_wing_light,
light.8  = 5,   18.000, -27.000,  -4.000, Opensky_wing_light,
light.9  = 5,   19.933,  -8.827,  -5.368, Opensky_wing_light,
light.10 = 5,   19.700,  19.000,  -6.000, Opensky_nacelle_refl,
light.11 = 5,   19.700, -19.000,  -6.000, Opensky_nacelle_refl,
light.12 = 3, -116.000,   0.000,  11.420, Opensky_nav_yellow ,
light.13 = 2, -116.000,   0.100,  11.300, fx_strobeh ,

I've added in capitals what the relevant ones are. The white wingtip strobes look good to me, but they're different to the ones you mention. Might be worth getting the A330 package and using those effects and effect names instead.

;)
