Problem with Tu-144

Postby Steeve » Fri Aug 19, 2005 3:44 pm

I downloaded the Tu-144 (http://www.simviation.com/fs2004jets111.htm) and the plane works fine...aside from taking a few years to load :P... except a gauge file, "APU.gau" I downloaded the update which was supposed to fix the problem, but still no luck with it. I keep getting 18 consecutive error messages in the game about how "This aircraft or its software were not able to be loaded. You may continue to use Flight Sim, but the aircraft or its software will be disabled." Once I click ok for the 18th time, the message goes away.  Can anyone help me fix this problem?

You need FSUIPC... and if you don't have a registered version, just edit all things referring to apu.gau in panel.cfg to comment lines
Russian planes: IL-76 (all standard length ones),  Tu-154 and Il-62, Tu-134 and [url=http://an24.uw.hu/]An-24RV[/ur

what exactly is it the fsuipc? What will it do, will it fix the problem?

I didnt register my version yet, should I not register it because I downloaded addon planes? I see APU text in the panel.cfg and I know its the right section because I read something about the bleed air switch, and somewhere in the APU section of the gauges it says APU!bleedair and then some numbers.

Simply delete the file apu.gau. The plane flies ok without this file.

I was thinking of deleting it, but, when you open the engineer panel up, the engines shut down automatically for you to restart them, and control+e doesnt work. I guess i could just not open it up. Ill try it.

I fly the "old" version of the Tu-144 and not have this problem.

When more "realistic" are the plane, more problems come. I fly also and old version of the Tu-154 without problems. Recently download the latest version and its a nighmare!! Of course i delete it from my computer.

Good luck.
