Hey Kevin, what little Latency program??

It is one that I found (did not write) and posted about in a thread called something like "Visual Stuttering Solutions?"

I found this PCI Latency tool here:  http://downloads.guru3d.com/download.php?det=951

I dont know if it works or not but it could be worth checking out.
Cheers

I just read the description... that appears to be the one.....but I don't think it was on that site that I found it... but it could have been... it was a while ago.

best,

I just downloaded it. Tried it and it seems to work. There is (a little) improvement. Less stuttering and little more FPS. Thanks for the link.

Crash ;)

I haven't been using it long but I found that before with my FRs when locked to 25, FPS would bounce around a lot, first 24.8 then a second later 10.5 until textures loaded and back up to 24.9 to 8 again when switching views etc. Resetting PCI latency has them bouncing only from 24.9 to 18.3 for a half a second when first panning around in VC and then back up to 24.9. What it seems to be doing is helping textures load up faster with less stutter in the sim.

If you are expecting stellar improvements in FRs then the PCI latency fix isn't your thing but if you need that little push to make things smoother then it works OK. Remember however that there are a lot of factors at play in FS so no one fix will do everthing.
