Starting in middle of runway at angle...everytime!

Postby iggy0075 » Fri Aug 12, 2005 5:51 pm

I recently downloaded the saba scenery files and when I go to that airport I am starting in the middle of the runway at an angle.

Its not that big of a deal, I just go into slew  mode and correct my posistion, but after a while that becomes one huge pain in the a**.

If anyone could give me ideas on how to correct this that would be cool.   THANKS

iggy,

You need to correct the "start locations" that are in the AFCAD bgl file.  To do that you will have to get AFCAD and edit the file.  See the "Adding AI Traffic" forum.

best,

Heya Iggy,

I always start my FS 2004 with my aircraft in a parking spot and with all systems shut down (cold and dark).

This way the other airport traffic isn't waiting for me to perform preflight checks, filing IFR flightplans, looking up VOR frequencies, etc. before I take off.
Happy Flying -- And may your main wheels always touch down first!

Iggy,
I have already corrected the AFCAD to this runway for my own use - let me know your email address and I'll send the file to you.
