How To Work Afterburners?

New to this site and all i can say is wow! There is so much stuff to download its crazy. I've downloaded a few jets and i'm curious if they have actual working afterburners and how do i use them? Thanks.

shift+f4 i believe

Not all fighters come with burners. A lot of them have the afterburners worked into the lights or just push the throttle all the way up.

I have yet to see an aircraft with afterburners you can actually turn on in order to give yourself that extra umph...all the ones I have seen, it is tied into the lights or by pushing the throttle up past 60-80% like rimshot was saying.

As turbo_skylane already mentioned, the default keystokes to activate/deactivate reheat/afterburners is:

Reheat/Afterburner On/Off

There's the PM2 Concorde. With this plane the use of the afterburners (SHIFT-F4) is mandatory in some flight regimen. Without the afterburner you'll never get off the runway to begin with, and you'll never get supersonic either.

on some aircraft you have a button on the panel. like in my mig29.
