Or...
You can use a keystroke (I believe the default is the comma) while on the ground at any airport that has a pump; you don't have to pull up to it or anything. You'll probably have to hit it a few times to fill 'er up.

Never knew that.

Eh....FUEL! We don't need no stinkin fuel!

I love flyin into the FBOs...get gas right away, but when we fly into some of the fields, the Army is notourious...you've got a wait a LONG while for them to get you gas...if only it were as simple as a keystroke...

Been there & done it...it's a good way to practice deadstick landings, challenging with a modern fighter aircraft but not impossible.  Only thing is, if you don't land fairly quickly, the electics die out and then no more instruments, flaps, gear...

Instruments! We don't need no stinkin instruments!

Just consider all those dead-stick landings practice for a future career as a shuttle pilot.

Never did find out how to tell ahead of time what airports have what fuel. Just have to take your chances. Usually if it doesn't fill up my airplane in a short while I use the menu and figure they sent a truck out with what I needed.

On the FS map, and on the GPS you can quickly determine whether or not an airport has fuel.  If there's fuel, the airport icon will have four ticks (like a crosshair) around it.

Also on the first airport information page in the GPS there's a box that tells you what type of fuel they have, be it AvGas and/or Jet fuel.

...also....
If you're fortunate enough to have forked out for FS Navigator....

...the moving map will display the airfield layout and  locations of the fuel pumps in the airfields, (if they have them).

Cheers...!

Both ways will tell me if the airport has fuel or not but it still won't tell what type of fuel is available (Avgas and/or Jet A). Actually if you want to find the pumps they are usually located near the general aviation parking. Just request taxi to parking instead of gates.

i didn't know about the crosshair map icons thing... that's really useful information ;)

and the GPS will tell you which kinds of fuel the airport has...  just go to the facility information screens, one of them will tell you what kind of fuel they have

before, i didn't have to worry about fuel as much as i'd like to...  i never spent too much time flying around on one day, so everytime i started a new flight, my fuel would be up to 100% again

so i set FS to be always on a continuous flight, always picking up where i left off the last time, so now the plane always has the same amount of fuel it had when i left it... now i have to worry about fuel, and occasionally pump some more fuel in 8)

i also found out that some airport gates have some sort of ground service (which you can't see, of course) and you plane will be refueled on the gate... so if you're flying airliners you don't have to go to the pumps, the pumps will come to you ;D

c ya
