delete or rename your fs9.cfg file (to something like fs9_bak.cfg) then restart your FS2004. It will create a new version and will start so long as you still have the default aircraft and default scenery available. You will have to then redo all your settings, assignments etc but at least you'll have a system... ;)

You will be able to copy over parts from your old saved file to save some time.

The file did not exist. But here`s how I did:
Uninstall the 9.1 patch, then install it again. Now it works fine again. ;D ;D ;D

Glad you got your mojo (FS9) workin', doctor

I have no idea what your doctorate is in but it's a given rollerball (with over 3000 post) would not tell you to remove a file which does not exist. Anyway, thanks to rollerball (RB) for all the help he gives us at SimV forums.

Perhaps, all that was accomplished by reinstalling the FS9.1 patch was to replace the fs9.cfg files which is located (on every working install of FS9) here:
C:\Documents and Settings\Your Namel\Application Data\Microsoft\FS9\fs9.CFG

My fs9.cfg is located on my desktop so i alwyas know where it is :-)

Fs9.cfg is also a hidden file, so you have to keep that in mind when looking for it.

Once you've found it..
Its a lot easier just to make a shortcut to it..

C:\Documents and Settings\Your-Account-Name\Application Data\Microsoft\FS9\fs9.CFG

...The short cut is a good idea Andy...I do that myself and also have one to my main Fs9 folder too......
