Need help with MSFS 2004!!!

Postby Pellrick » Tue Jul 26, 2005 4:04 pm

Hi!
Is there any checkbox to use, if I want to start at the terminal, with engines off? Is this possible?

In some cargo airplane there is some extra doors to be open. How can I open this doors? By pressing SHIFT+E you just open the main entry door. I have tryed to SHIFT+E+ 1  to 4.

Glad if you can help me!

Regards from ESMX

Kinda, open a flight.. shut down, Save flight.. open flight some other time...

Welcome to SimV Pellrick! :)

First-to always start a flight with yor engines off, turn all your engines off in a current flight and then check the "make default flight" in the flight selection screen, when you save it.

And looks like Andy covered the other question... although personally, I've never seen anything above shift+e+2 work.

Some addon aircraft also have doors binded to the tailhook and wingfold functions. Check your control assignments to see what keys those are ;)

for a detailed answer...

1: the terminal start- whhen you are selecting your airport, look at the very bottom of the screen, there should be a drop down item labeled "active runway" this can be switched between ANY runway, gate, GA parking, Mil parking, Dock, and helipad. note: not all gates /or parking spots are listed for medium to large airports

2: the engine off option- read above

3: the doors- for default aircraft, press shift + e to open the door. for the Cessna C208 and 208B & all boeings, presss shift + e +2 (quickly, but press 2 after you pressed shift + e) opens the cargo door opposite the pass. door.

note that downloaded aircraft had more doors tied to:
wings folding
tailhook              - you will need key commands
water rudders

hope this helps!

**EDIT** btw I've never seen Shift + e + 3 or 4 work either
