Your Latest Journeys.

Postby Boomtown Rat » Mon Jul 25, 2005 7:54 am

What have been your latest, and favorite, journeys?

For example, my latest (before I left for NZ over a week ago) was a trip flying a Qantas A380 from Sydney Kingsford-Smith Int'l to Auckland Int'l, then to Wellington Int'l, on to Christchurch Int'l, then across the Tasman to Hobart (Tasmania) Int'l, then over to Adelaide Int'l, and across the outback to Perth Int'l.

For these I kept times as realistic as possible (I'd fly at 5 pm EST, which is 9 am in NZ- or 7 am in Sydney, for example), and flew the entire thing without speeding up time.

I also plan to finish off with a flight from Perth to Darwin, and from there to Sydney or Melbourne (or both.).

May i suggest a route from Darwin to Sydney?
Take a Bae146 from Darwin to Cairns via Gove. I did this in real life in 97, great little airport (Gove), tho' i'd guess it's not very detailed in default scenery...Then jump into a Cessna/your favourite light aircraft  and fly the east coast all the way down to Sydney.  :)

Currently on an exploration trip in antarctica right now all the way up from Canada.  Got to land in some nice interesting fields flying a king air.  Right now im still on the northern edge of antarctica, just waiting for the perfect time to go further down south... It must be really dark this time of year
Cheers,
RB

Still doing 752 hops for Delta Virtual.  My most recent memorable flight was KJFK-TJSJ, (Luis Munoz Marin Int'l, San Juan, Peurto Rico) with a 1h20min turnaround time heading back for JFK.

I went there just a few weeks back to catch a connecting flight to St Thomas, I thought the airport and the area surrounding it was cool, and I got some absolutely fantastic scenery for it, so I think I'll be flying this route a lot.

When school rolls around, there's two classes in particular that I know are literally going to eat up all of my free time-so I'll just do long-hauls, my favorite being KLAX-YSSY and back.

I enjoyed my flight over my home country, Nicaragua. That huge lake looks real nice, especially with the new sunset-sky-texture enhancment. :) 8)

Well I did forget to mention, but I have Scenery for: Auckland Int'l, Wellington Int'l, Christchurch Int'l, Sydney Kingsford-Smith Int'l, Adelaide Int'l, City Scenery for Melbourne, and every Project AI for Oceania (Qantas, ANZ, Virgin Blue, Australian, you name it!).

Did catch a glimpse of the Wunala(?) Dreaming 744 at Sydney Kingsford-Smith Int'l, and then caught her 743 counterpart during my early morning arrival into Perth Int'l!

UK - London > France - Paris > Germany - Berlin > Czech Republic - Prague > Austria - Vienna > Switzerland - Sion > Italy - Turin > France - Lyon > France - Paris > UK - London..

At 90 kts..  ;)
