<1-2 Hours: Look out the Aircraft and admire the fake real scenery
3-6 Hours: A Good Book never injured any pilot...
7-9 Hours: Usually a movie or two followed by a book
10-12 Hours: Same as above with the exception of three movies
13+ Hours: Sleep, and a combination of all of the above ;)

Yeah, I am addicted to long-haul...I left Commercial for a while and flew GA which I do when bored. Now I am back to commercial with which I have a couple of flights planned out already including LIRF-KJFK and EGLL-KLAX. Longest flight I have flown? 14.5 hours OMDB-KJFK with the trusworthy Emirates Airbus A340-500.
Cheers all,
Ashar
PS: I Never Ever speed up the time...makes the whole sim's purpose pointless...

Dubai to JFK, I really want to fly that route but I don't think Air Canada services it.

I'd be wary on AC serving that too, lol ;D

Ya know what?  I stopped flying some of my favorite routes when I joined a VA too.  My advice? **** the VA, just FLY IT! (I'm assuming you're part of AC Virtual)  Right now I'm having too much fun with my 752 hops, but eventually I'll get back to my favorite long haul route, that I used to fly constantly-KLAX-YSSY n back (obviously not served by Delta).

^ VAC is a great set up for me because I used to fly the majority of my flights in or out of CYYZ...

...but I would really love to fly a Dubai Toronto route but I need to figure the f-plan out. Also, are there ever any Vatsim controllers in the mid-east? I never really bother to check ServInfo but just wondering.

Mine is 13.7 hours in a B-17 from Travis AFB to Honolulu, all real time in front of my computer. I navigated with a compass, and the ADF reciever at the end. I never used the GPS or the built in map. Of course something came up in RL so I had to save in the middle and finish the next day ::)
