Need help finding stuff

Postby SomeGuy » Mon Jul 04, 2005 10:32 pm

After a long, horrible ordeal resulting in me having a much better computer (yay), but two reformatted hard drives (ohh) I have had to relocate all of the many freeware add-ons that I have collected over the years--and need help. There are three that are proving to be REALLY hard to find again. One is something that adds 5,000 stars of different magnitudes to the night sky (and constellation lines if you want), another is something that randomizes the lights on AI aircraft so that they don't all flash in unison, and finally, I need the key that lets f16.gau work with FSUICP. Any assistance would be GREATLY appreciated and when this whole thing is over, maybe I finally come back here and do stuff (I've missed two screenshot contests because of this).

PS: I think the star thing was called My FS Stars, but I haven't had any luck searching for that name.

I just finished reinstalling to a new computer. I have the stars update but can't seem to find where I got it from or the original .zip file (I think it's on the old computer which is disassembled at the moment). If you want however I can send you the star database. All you need to do is drop that into your main FS folder after backing up your stars.dat file. That's the only file you really need but you won't have the readme telling how to turn on the constellations.

The strobe mod is an effect and I'm pretty sure it was for FS 2002. Haven't found it yet.

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.

The file to change the flashinbg of the lights is a 100 percent MUST HAVE for fs2004.

OH THANK YOU!! My existence is now complete! Well, I still need to find a bunch of aircraft and updates for them but I know where they are--this website. What REALLY sucks though is that I had compiled a sound pack for fighter jets using both real and artificial sounds (I got tired of the awesome fighters that I downloaded sounding like a Learjet 45) that I about to upload before this whole thing stared. Looks like I'll be having to rebuild that. It will be coming soon. Look for it in the sound section. It gives a nice, powerful roar to the engines.
