In the Map, available in a flight from the map icon on the a/c panel or (Alt)*>World>Map.

As for how, (Alt)*>Help>Learning Center, click the Index tab, click on the letter M,

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.
