OK I think I did it correctly but no go. I clicked start, log off, then clicked my name which is an admin account and it rebooted but didnt fix it.

Any other ideas or whats the correct path to do this?

Sometimes its the simplest things in life that give us the most hassle. :o

Savas,

Ain't computers grand?  Hum.......... hate to say this..... and there are probably PLENTY of OTHER reasons that might be happening.... BUT...

I had that exact stuff happen to ME a while back.  The short of it was that it was a virus/hack into my machine that changed my own accounts and passwords on my own machine.  Finally my "computer geeks" had to wipe the C drive.

Have you had any other issues with certain programs not allowing you to access stuff that needs passwords and such?

Just a "heads up" to likely do a full system virus scan with current definitions.

best,

...........john

Sounds rather tacky to me.
Virus software update and you have a good firewall?

Even still, some things still break through. ::)

If you have a virus on your system or something I'd clean up the computer completely. You just don't want unautharised persons examining what you are doing - things are getting so complicated these days you just don't know.

Savas,

Yeah... that is the more likely scenario.

AVG is good stuff IMHO.

Heya SaVas,

Before wiping your C:\ Drive you may wish to try this:

1.)  Backup any IE Favorites and Documents in C:\Documents and Settings\~yourname\My Documents

2.)  Reboot Windows and get into Safe Mode by pressing F8

3.)  When in Safe Mode, Go into Control Panel --> User Accounts.  Delete your User Account.

4.)  Reboot normally.

5.)  Go into Control Panel --> User Accounts.  Create a New Administrator User Account.

6.)  Replace Backup Files.

Sometimes these User Accounts get corrupted and need to be re-installed.  Rebooting out of Safe Mode will also purge the old User Account from the Windows Registry.
Happy Flying -- And may your main wheels always touch down first!
