HARD DRIVE FULL?

Postby tennm1980 » Mon Jun 20, 2005 3:00 pm

well i uninstalled fs9, cleaned out a bunch of old programs and files from my computer---now im re-installing it, and i keep getting an error message saying that "either the file name is in use, or your hard disk is full"  i am currently on disc 3, and it will not install anymore. i have no idea what has happened--the game ran just fine before i uninstalled it, i just thought it would be better if i cleaned my computer out some. now it won't even install. any ideas? thnx

How much room is left on your Hard Drive...?
Intel Pentium 4 3.0GHz Northwood (With HT) Cooled by Zalman CNPS9500 LED - 2 x 512MB DDR RAM (PC3200) - 120 GB HDD - 128MB Nvidia GeForce FX5700 - Bluestorm 500w PSU

Hopefully soon with RAID 0! :D

Well, I'd do all of the following (you probably have already done most of these, but just in case):

1) Empty the recycle bin.

2) Defragment the drive

3) Check drive for errors

4) Do a "Disk Cleanup" (in the "System Tools" menu along with the defragmenter)

If that doesn't help, I'd throw in a check for any spyware.
