Hi, im using FsSkyWorld... and in the tutorial sais that you can  "live" an eclipse, i put hte date that they put but.. it doesn't work!!!

Do you know the reason???

For others you can look them up on Astronomy web sites including predicted future ones. Be fun to fly down to the South Pacific to catch an eclipse.


Be even funner to be able to do so in real life. Now where did I put that lottery ticket?  ;D

Not for me, but I don't have FS-SkyWorld.

FS doesn't have eclipses as standard. Which is a shame, because all the sun and moon movements are accurate in the sim.

Stars are accurate too but they don't show much variability in brightness so it's hard to pick out constellations. Look for Myfsstars (don't remember where I got it). It's a star file that makes the night sky much more realistic with brighter and dimmer stars. It also has a variable you can change to turn on constellations so they show with lines linking the stars.

I would have thought they were. I don't think it would really help with navigation though as it's difficult to get your bearings when just looking at the sky with a joystick on a computer screen. Think i'll continue with the GPS.
