What kind of internet connection are you running?

Do you have a firewall running? Are you going through a router?

Lots of possibilities there mate.. ;)

And get rid of the satellite connection too ......... That's why your getting the lag and other aircraft bouncing around.

All MP sessions are governed by the speed of each persons connection and how far the signal has to travel. Your signal is doing several hundered extra miles up to the satellite and back ....... :( Likewise anything you're recieving is having to do the same ....... so any lag on the other players part is magnified.

Yeah.. the Direcway stuff is fine for surfing and downloading, but useless for gaming. It's 25,000 miles up to the satellite and 25,000 back down.. That's a 2 second "warp" no mater how fast the bps. Sometimes it's really bad, in that it doesn't slow the download speed, but every now and then,, when the satellite is extra busy.. it actually pauses your service for several seconds. Again.. no real harm for surfing, but no good at all for gaming real-time.
