After trying for ages, (it really does serve me right cos' I was showing off telling the wife how wonderfull real-world weather was!) I shut my PC down for about 30mins, re-started and downloaded real weather first time.

Nothing is easy.

Cheers all.

I am having trouble downloading the weather too. My internet is working fine so could it be a system outage?

All I have been able to get today..On & Off is the below message. Worse thing is even if the live weather update is unchecked. I still get the warning every 15 seconds. Makes it impossible to fly. I am beginning to think maybe Norton updates may have changed some thing ? If you are having the problem do you run Norton ?

Nope, don't run norton.. ;)

Running macafee here, but it was "turned off" while I was flying. And that is just virus scan, I use other methods of firewalling and the hardware router firewall was the only firewall I had running at the time of my incidents.. ;)

I have been having a problem as well and for more than one day...

This has happened before...Charter communications could be the problem, but I think the problem is at the source (or somewhere on the path to Jeppsen...)

I've had no problems with real weather.

Could be the "path" to the server from some locations getting bogged down.

best,

There seems to be a problem with the weather server. Is the server accesable through only one address or are there multple addresses for whatever part of ther world you are living in. It maybe the area in which you live that is causing the problem. does anyone have a list of the available weather servers?

Considering I only fly in "real-weather" this problem is a distinct annoyance  :'(  >:(

I don't seem to be the only one with this problem ...

I don't think it has anything to do with firewalls, modems, broadbandconnections because 75% of the time I get a message like Spidious shows us and 25% of the time I get my 'real weather'. Conclusion: nothing wrong with my comp, nothing wrong with my internetconnection, nothing wrong with the FS9 installation.

Maybe 'geographical discrimination' from Jeppeson? Only an European problem?
